At approximately 11:22 hours on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 town of Brownville Fire companies and Glen Park Fire were dispatched to a possible barn fire near 16188 County Route 59 in Dexter. Town of Brownville command reported smoke showing while enroute and requested mutual aid from Chaumont, Three Mile Bay, and Sackets Harbor.

At approximately 22:15, Three Mile Bay Units were requested to 31100 BURNT ROCK RD for a reported barn fire. Upon arrival 10-0-1 confirmed a barn to be fully involved. By the time fire units arrived the structure was in the ground and only defensive operations were performed. Cape Vincent, Three Mile Bay, Clayton and Chaumont units were on scene for approximately 2.5hrs extinguishing the fire.

At approximately 19:09 on the evening of March 5th, 2020, Crews were dispatched to the area of Cross Rd and Three Mile Point Rd for a reported Structure Fire. Upon arrival, crews encountered a fully involved seasonal residence in close proximity to two other residences. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the call. On Saturday, Feb 8th 2020, Three Mile Bay Ambulance, TMB Fire, Chaumont Fire, Jefferson County Sheriffs Dept. and Jefferson County STAR Teams were called to the area of Pt Salubrious and Cherry Island for reports of a fisherman that had fallen through the ice. Dispatch then relayed that the fisherman had self extracted and was making his way to shore. At around 6 p.m., Three Mile Bay Fire Department was dispatched to Long Point State Park for a reported ice rescue. Three rescue teams responded. They found four people in the parking lot, all of whom had broken through the ice.Turns out, two people had been riding on a four-wheeler around 50 yards west of the park’s point when the machine broke through the ice. Crews responded to a reported tree down inside the Hamlet of Three Mile Bay. Caller also stated they noticed a smell of Gas at the scene. Turns out the uprooted tree brought up an underground propane tank with it. Propane leak was mitigated and Fire Crews stood by while the road was cleared by Town of Lyme DPW.
