A two-story wood-frame home in the Hamlet of Three Mile Bay caught fire in the early morning of July 21st.The fire is suspected to have started around 4 a.m. The family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children, were home at the time but luckily all made it out safely. The home is a total loss, but a few personal items were saved. Chief Bourquin said it was difficult to get to the flames because of the type of construction. Three Mile Bay FD was assisted by Chaumont, Cape Vincent, Brownville Clayton and Depaulville Fire Depts.
